Provider and Product Availability

Products from our partners can vary from time to time. MyConnect does not offer all providers or plans available in the market. Not all products offered by participating providers are available or displayed on our website.

Products and providers are subject to availability and may vary based on:

  • Property and meter type
  • Network serviceability
  • Customer eligibility
  • Provider coverage areas
  • Commercial agreements with participating providers

As a result, not all providers or products will be available to every customer.
Additional products or offers may be available via our contact centre, depending on serviceability and commercial agreements.

About the MyConnect Service

MyConnect is a utility connection service, not a comparison website. Our role is to simplify the connection process and provide convenient access to participating providers.

  • We do not offer all providers or all products available in the market.
  • We only present products and services from our participating providers that are available at the customer’s address.

Our Commercial Relationships

MyConnect is owned by Origin Energy. We may present or recommend Origin products where appropriate. We also work with a range of other participating providers and present suitable service options based on customer requests and serviceability.

Recommendations may be influenced by:

  • Service availability
  • Customer needs and move-in requirements
  • Provider serviceability
  • Commercial arrangements with participating providers.Customers are not required to use MyConnect and may contact providers directly if they prefer.

How MyConnect is Remunerated

MyConnect is a no-fee utility connection service. MyConnect may receive a commission from participating providers when customers enter into an agreement for a product or service. Not all plans available from our providers are always displayed or quoted due to serviceability, commercial arrangements, or product availability.

Some products and offers may only be available from the specific platform you are using. Website availability may differ from our call centre based on commercial agreements with our product partners.

Pricing and Product Information

Energy, internet, and other utility pricing displayed or discussed by MyConnect is provided by participating providers and is subject to change. Our website is updated when we receive this information to ensure the products displayed are up-to-date and accurate.

  • Pricing may be indicative and based on the most common meter type in your distribution zone
  • Depending on the meter type at your premises, providers may vary your rates, terms, and
  • conditions to match the meter type
  • All pricing quoted is inclusive of GST where applicable
  • Final pricing is determined by the provider
  • Plans, fees, and benefits may change at any time
  • MyConnect does not set energy or internet pricing
  • Provider terms and conditions apply

The products and pricing MyConnect quotes are based on the address information provided by the customer. Serviceable energy retailers will be based on the postcode provided.

In some postcode zones that span multiple states or distribution networks, additional information such as a meter number may be required to provide an accurate quotation.

If your meter type or network differs from the initial quotation, the provider will advise you of any changes to pricing, terms, or conditions.

Customers will receive full product details and provider terms during the connection process.

Provider Fees and Charges

MyConnect is a free service. Depending on the selected provider and product, the following may apply:

  • Connection fees
  • Supply or service charges
  • Plan or account fees
  • Early termination or exit fees
  • Network or installation charges
  • After-hours or urgent connection fees

These fees are set by the provider or network distributor and will be disclosed before the customer agrees to proceed. Customers are responsible for all utility charges incurred at the property.

If you are switching, you may be subject to charges in relation to your current service, including exit fees. You should check with your current supplier(s) whether exit fees apply.
