- Eligibility
Entry is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years or older. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with this promotion, including all subsidiaries and affiliates, are ineligible to enter. Immediate family means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
2. Promoter
The Promoter is MyConnect Trading Pty Ltd, ABN: 65 627 003 605 of Level 6, 267 Collins Street, Melbourne, 3000 (VIC) (“Promoter”). Please contact marketing@myconnect.com.au if you have any questions.
3. Agreement to Terms and Conditions
Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Terms and Conditions. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
4. Entry Period
Entries open at 12:00 AM AEDT, 26 February 2026 and close at 11:59 PM AEDT, 28 February 2026. Any entries received before or after these times will be deemed invalid.
4. How to Enter To be eligible to enter, entrants must, during the Promotional Period:
- Register for one or more utility services with the Promoter via telephone or online (www.signup.myconnect.com.au); and
- Complete the connection of at least one (1) qualifying utility (defined as Electricity, Gas, or Internet) at their nominated new address.
Note: Electricity connections within Western Australia and those involving embedded networks are expressly excluded from this Promotion.
5. Prize
There are five (5) prizes to be won. Each prize consists of one (1) x $500 Flight Centre Gift Card. The total prize pool is valued at $2,500 AUD. Flight Centre Gift Cards are issued by Flight Centre Travel Group Limited and are subject to the following terms:
- Validity: Gift cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of issue.
- Redemption: Cards may be redeemed at any Flight Centre retail store within Australia or online at www.flightcentre.com.au.
- Non-Transferable: Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash.
- Balance: If a purchase is less than the card value, the remaining balance stays on the card. If a purchase exceeds the value, the winner must pay the difference via an alternative method.
- Cancellation: If a booking made with a gift card is cancelled, any refund will be subject to Flight Centre’s standard cancellation policies and may be issued as a credit.
- Fees: Standard booking fees and government taxes may apply to travel booked using the gift card.
- Delivery: Prizes are digital vouchers and will be sent to each winner’s nominated email address provided at the time of sign up. The Promoter takes no responsibility for incorrect contact details provided. Any ancillary costs, including travel insurance, additional transport, or personal expenses incurred in using the prize, are the sole responsibility of the winner.
6. Odds
The odds of winning are dependent on the number of eligible entries received.
7. Selection and Notification of Winners
The prize draw will take place at the Promoter’s office at Level 6, 267 Collins Street, Melbourne, Victoria, 3000 on 03/03/2026 at 12:00 PM AEDT. The Promoter will draw five (5) valid winners. The Promoter may also draw additional reserve entries and record them in order of priority in the event that an invalid entry or ineligible entrant is drawn.
- Notification: Each winner will be notified in writing within two (2) business days via the email address provided at the time of sign-up.
- Publication: The names of the winners (initial, surname, and postcode) will be published on www.myconnect.com.au/winner-announcements/ from 05/03/2026.
- Claim Period: Subject to the unclaimed prize draw clause, if a winner does not claim their prize within two (2) weeks of being notified, that winner’s prize will be forfeited.
- Accuracy of Details: The Promoter is not liable for a winner’s failure to receive notification if they provided incorrect or inactive contact details.
- Finality: The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the result.
8. Unclaimed Prize Draw
If any prizes remain unclaimed, a second draw will take place on 17/03/2026 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. Any winner(s) from this second draw will be notified in writing within two (2) business days via the email address provided at sign-up. Their names will be published on the website from 20/03/2026.
9. General Terms & Conditions
The Promoter, reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these Terms and Conditions, tampered with the entry process or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise fair and proper conduct of the promotion. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved. Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant. The Promoter reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the promotion in the event of non-authorised human intervention, a bug or virus, fraud, or other causes beyond the Promoter’s control that impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the promotion. If the prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law: (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate. Additionally, the Promoter may seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law if a participant is found to have deliberately caused damage or undermined the legal operation of the promotion. Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an entrant to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and will render all entries submitted by that entrant invalid.
10. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Promoter, its subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, loss, or damages (including loss of opportunity), whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion or the use or misuse of the awarded prize.
Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the Non-Excludable Guarantees, the Promoter (including its respective officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries and affiliates) is not responsible for and excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Terms and Conditions; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) use of the prize.
11. Privacy
The Promoter collects personal information (“PI“) in order to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such PI to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Entry is conditional on providing this PI. The Promoter will also use and handle PI as set out in its Privacy Policy, which can be viewed at https://www.myconnect.com.au/privacy-policy/. In addition to any use that may be outlined in the Promoter’s Privacy Policy, the Promoter may, for an indefinite period, unless otherwise advised, use the PI for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes, including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. The Privacy Policy also contains information about how entrants may opt out, access, update or correct their PI, how entrants may complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles or any other applicable law and how those complaints will be dealt with. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter will not disclose PI to any entity outside of Australia.
The privacy of your PI is a priority for the Promoter. The Promoter respects your rights to privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act) and we are committed to complying with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) requirements for collecting and managing your PI.
